Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ) is a statutory body of the Queensland Government and the State’s lead tourism marketing, destination and experience development and major events agency. About the role
The Trade Manager – United Kingdom & Northern Europe drives trade marketing engagement and partnerships to grow international visitation to Queensland across the UK and Northern European markets. Working closely with senior regional leaders, the role leads trade activity planning, manages key aviation and distribution partnerships, and delivers targeted trade‑led campaigns and training. You’ll work collaboratively across TEQ’s global matrix to raise awareness of Queensland destinations and deliver outcomes aligned to our strategic priorities.
Anticipated start date: mid August 2026.
Key duties
- Lead and manage key trade, airline and distribution partnerships to maximise focus on Queensland within the UK and Northern European markets.
- Develop and deliver targeted trade‑led initiatives, campaigns and marketing activities to drive visitation and support TEQ’s strategic priorities.
- Lead TEQ participation in sales missions, trade training, workshops, industry events and partner familiarisation programs.
- Manage trade marketing budgets, deliver campaigns within agreed budgets, and meet reporting requirements.
- Maintain the UK trade database and deliver annual trade communications across owned and partner channels.
- Analyse performance and market insights, sharing intelligence with Brisbane‑based teams and Queensland industry partners, while representing TEQ at key industry forums.
