The Client FinTech is a global market-changing organisation that is expanding rapidly. This is a genuinely key and brand new role in an organisation going through a period of growth and change.

The role involves designing, delivering, and evaluating crisis and resilience exercises across the organisation. It ensures that executives, management, and operational teams are prepared to respond effectively to major disruptions, whether caused by technology failures, cyber incidents, third-party outages, or external crises. This is not a purely technical role; it combines elements of risk management, facilitation, and storytelling. The person in this role will create realistic scenarios, lead engaging exercises, collaborate across teams, and translate lessons into clear actions that improve organisational resilience.

The Scenario Exercise & Crisis Management Lead plays a critical role in strengthening the organisation’s ability to withstand disruption. By preparing teams to respond to crises, this role helps protect clients, reputation, regulatory compliance, and long-term business resilience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Regulatory Considerations
  • Stakeholder Management
  • After-action reporting

You should have a background in risk management, business continuity, cybersecurity, or crisis management. Experience designing or facilitating tabletop or crisis exercises is essential. Exposure to executive-level decision-making and confidence engaging with senior stakeholders is required. Familiarity with regulatory expectations (e.g., FCA, PRA, ICO) and industry standards (e.g., ISO 22301, NIST, ITIL) is desirable. Proven experience in operational resilience, with a strong understanding of the UK Operational Resilience Regulations (2025), is necessary. A track record of producing structured reports and improvement plans is also important.

For this role, you will be credit and DBS checked, therefore you need to be a UK Resident with a relevant skill set and be willing to work from West Yorkshire or London/Oxfordshire. You should be happy to attend the office a few times a month and be willing to work the odd early morning or late night.

The interview process will be threefold, and we can expedite for the right candidates. We would like to have an initial Teams/Zoom meeting with those selected.
