What you’ll actually be doing
You’ll turn structured and unstructured data into models that drive real decisions across multiple European portfolios:
- Building propensity-to-pay forecasts and other predictive and descriptive models
- Owning the full model lifecycle: modelling, scoring and monitoring across a range of data sources
- Getting stuck into new projects, including NLP
- Working across European portfolios, from a large European bank to a smaller Italian FS client
- Presenting insight to colleagues and showing them what the data is really saying
You’ll bring
- Experience in a Data Science role with a real focus on modelling and coding
- Strong Python and SQL
- Hands‑on modelling techniques such as CHAID, cluster analysis, Bayesian algorithms, neural networks and MARS
- An open mind about where you’ve come from; this role is industry-agnostic
- Experience with visualisation tools.

Data Lake, Azure, Databricks, Python, ML, SQL, SAS and Snowflake. It’s a cutting-edge stack with plenty of room to experiment.

The process
It’s simple and quick: an initial call with the Head of Data Science, then a project to work on and present back. The whole thing takes days, not weeks, and we’ll support you at every step.
You’ll need to be UK-based and within commuting distance of Manchester.
