This is a remote role, with a preference for someone based in the North West of England who can come to the South Manchester area sporadically for meetings.
This role would suit someone who has solid front and back end development experience. Our clients are agnostic on tech and background – more about personality and quality of experience.
The Client: SaaS Platform with outstanding uptake in the Education sector, a start-up environment driven by meritocracy with some highly cerebral colleagues. Currently a team of six, growth will be organic and it’s expected this role holder will have the experience and skills to come in as technical lead. Flexible, dynamic and thoroughly modern in terms of how the team works.
The Role: This will be the first Senior engineering hire within the Business, working alongside the Directors on developing the platform which has upwards of 2500 users. We’re looking for a product-minded developer to work closely with the Head of Engineering and Product Lead to break down Business & User problems to collaboratively find solutions and deliver high-quality code. Your insights and solutions will be required. Zero red tape in an agile and forward-thinking team.
- Solid development experience – you understand how web apps are built, shipped, maintained and iterated on features, understanding quality and delivery.
- Over 4 years’ experience in an Engineering team, having solved problems collaboratively and not solely as an independent developer.
- You’ll have worked in large teams on complex problems.
- Ruby on Rails, Vue.js and Typescript would be highly beneficial – though not a hard requirement.
