This is a full-time permanent role, remote though team meetings once or twice a month in either West Yorkshire or Oxford. Candidates must be UK-based and will have to pass vetting - DBS and credit due to this being a regulated business.

The Client: FinTech, global market-changing, proven quantity expanding globally. You won't have heard of them yet, though they'll be a household name in a few years. The Role: The Security Engineer will provide hands-on technical expertise within the UK, ensuring that cyber security strategy and architecture defined by Group are implemented effectively across UK subsidiaries, aligned with local jurisdictional compliance requirements. This role bridges between Group Security, outsourced partners, and UK subsidiaries (~5 entities in total), ensuring successful delivery of projects, uplift initiatives, and BAU operational excellence. This position will own UK technical approvals, impact assessments, and project-specific security delivery, acting as the local escalation point for incidents and implementations.

You: We don't have room for shrinking violets - you'll be smart, outgoing, bright - on an upwards trajectory career-wise and hungry to make a name for yourself. This name will look fantastic on your CV. You'll be surrounded by some highly cerebral and motivated colleagues. You'll be an accomplished Security Engineer with experience from the UK. Industry agnostic though preference would be Financial Services, Legal, Consulting or similar. Experience in the practical protection of a remote working laptop estate and SaaS cloud solutions. Experience in identity and access management solutions. Experience in device business automation and updates. Experience in the security aspects of cloud web application hosting and defence measures like WAF. You'll also be flexible in terms of working hours - sometimes there'll be early starts and sometimes later finishes due to the parent company being abroad.
