We're looking for someone with a Maths / Stats / Quant Degree, some coding experience in Python and/or SQL, and 1-2 years' (possibly more) experience in Power BI - commercial experience from the UK, preferable in FS / regulated Industry. Salary will be £30-40k and you should already live somewhere in the Manchester area.

This role is hybrid; you'll be in the office 3 days per week in Manchester City centre, surrounded by some highly cerebral and grounded colleagues in a meritocratic and collaborative environment. You will need to pass UK Credit and DBS checks.
About the role: A great opportunity for an analytically minded individual to join a data-driven team operating at the heart of the business. This is a dual-focus role spanning both business intelligence and analytical insight, and the successful candidate will be expected to contribute across both disciplines, building robust reporting whilst also engaging in deeper analysis that drives commercial decision-making.
- Design, build and maintain BI dashboards and management information that give stakeholders clear visibility of business performance.
- Analyse data to surface actionable insight, identifying trends, risks and opportunities across the business.
- Work closely with operational and commercial teams to understand their data needs and translate these into meaningful analytical outputs.
- Support the development of analytical models to inform strategy and forecasting.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data processes, documentation and reporting standards.
- Present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
About You: Specific tools and experience matter, but so does intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in using data to solve real problems. Strong fundamentals, a willingness to learn and the drive to push analysis beyond the surface will be given serious consideration regardless of background.
Essential- Minimum 2:1 in a numerate discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering or similar).
- Proficient in Python and/or SQL with the ability to write clean, efficient code for data manipulation and analysis.
- Experience generating insight from data and an ability to go beyond reporting to explain the so what.
- A structured, problem-solving approach to analytical challenges.
- Diligent and detail-oriented, with a genuine commitment to accuracy.
- Proficient in Power BI including dashboard development and data modelling.
- Experience building MI or management reporting suites.
- 2+ years of industry experience, ideally within collections or broader financial services.
- Some exposure to statistical or predictive modelling techniques.
