We're looking for someone with a Data Science skill set - Python with Pandas, Modelling and Analytical skills - to work on pricing potential investments for acquisition. You'll have some Data Science / Analytics experience from the UK in a commercial setting.
The Client: Financial Services, ethical, highly cerebral colleagues, collaborative environment and meritocratic. Amazing location in Manchester City Centre, hybrid working 3 days in (5 during probation), bespoke bonus and solid benefits. Industry leaders utilising highly progressive modelling & analytics, simulations and more. This role is hybrid, you'll be in the office 3 days per week in Manchester City centre, surrounded by some highly cerebral and grounded colleagues in a meritocratic and collaborative environment. You will need to pass UK Credit and DBS checks.
About the role: You'll work in the Investment Pricing team, a team of specialists using Data Science & Analytics to price potential investments into the £M's.
- Support the pricing of new acquisitions by assessing the risk profiles of the portfolios across the UK, Benelux and Iberia.
- Support creation of new pricing methodologies.
- Create the analysis for the investment memo in conjunction with the Senior Investment Analyst.
- Support the (on-site) Due Diligence process to understand how the portfolio has been managed to date. Reflect the information to assess how the pricing models should be refined.
- Creation of ad-hoc models for the valuation of portfolios of varying asset types and geographies.
- Support Lead Analyst with the development of the investment framework.
About you: 12-18 months of commercial experience as an Analyst or Data Scientist. Minimum 2:1 in a Quantitative subject. Experience OR an interest in Modelling – CHAID, Cluster Analysis, Bayesian Algorithms, NN. Experience with visualisation tools would be nice. Python and SQL experience ideally - Python a MUST. Experience in a Data Science role with a focus on Modelling & Coding. Industry agnostic.
