Are you a highly organised Operations Assistant, Executive Assistant or Office Manager looking for a varied role where you can become the trusted right-hand person to a business owner, helping manage both commercial operations and day-to-day business activities? On offer is the opportunity to join a growing agricultural and logistics business where no two days are the same. This is a highly varied position combining executive support, operational coordination, accounts administration and transport compliance, giving you genuine responsibility and influence across the business.
In this role, you will work closely with the founder, helping manage schedules, communications, travel and business administration, whilst also supporting the day-to-day running of a busy hay, straw and transport operation. You'll coordinate with drivers, suppliers and customers, manage Xero administration and help ensure the business remains organised, compliant and running efficiently.
This role would suit an Executive Assistant, Operations Coordinator, Office Manager, Transport Administrator, Logistics Coordinator or commercially minded administrator who enjoys variety, taking ownership and working closely with business leadership.
The Role- Provide day-to-day executive support to the business owner
- Manage calendars, meetings, travel arrangements and communications
- Draft professional correspondence, documents and business communications
- Manage accounts administration using Xero, including invoices, bills and credit notes
- Support transport and logistics administration, ensuring records and compliance documentation remain up to date
- Liaise with drivers, suppliers, customers and operational staff
- Assist with wider business operations across multiple companies
- Help improve organisation, processes and overall operational efficiency
- Previous experience as an Executive Assistant, Operations Coordinator, Office Manager or similar
- Experience using Xero or similar accounting software
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Confident drafting professional emails, letters and documents
- Comfortable working within a fast-moving SME environment
- Logistics, transport, agriculture, equestrian or farming experience advantageous
- Confident communicator who can work closely with senior leadership
- Full UK Driving Licence
