Are you a Transport Manager, Fleet Manager or Logistics Manager with experience within general haulage, looking to join a well-established transport business where you can take ownership of fleet operations, lead a busy transport team and ensure a safe, compliant and efficient nationwide distribution service?

On offer is the opportunity to join a respected logistics company operating a mixed fleet of articulated HGVs and commercial vehicles. This is a key leadership role where you'll oversee transport planning, fleet compliance and driver performance while helping drive operational efficiency and maintaining exceptional customer service standards.

In this role, you will manage the day-to-day transport operation across general haulage, pallet network and ADR activities. Acting as the nominated Transport Manager on the Operator Licence, you'll oversee transport compliance, vehicle maintenance, driver management and route planning while continually identifying opportunities to improve fleet utilisation, reduce costs and enhance operational performance.

This role would suit a Transport Manager, Logistics Manager, Fleet Manager, Distribution Manager, General Haulage Manager or Transport Operations Manager with experience within a general haulage environment looking for a long-term leadership opportunity.

  • Manage the day-to-day transport operation
  • Plan nationwide deliveries and collections
  • Manage fleet maintenance and vehicle inspections
  • Lead, coach and develop drivers and transport staff
  • Monitor transport costs, fleet performance and compliance

King's Lynn-based, Monday-Friday (on-call support when required)

Requirements:

  • Transport management experience within general haulage
  • CPC qualified (or eligible to act as nominated Transport Manager)
  • Excellent knowledge of UK transport legislation
  • Strong leadership and planning skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
