Are you an Operations Manager with experience within the Testing, Inspection and Certification industry, looking to join a specialist machinery safety and certification business where you can take ownership of project delivery, client relationships, compliance and internal operations?
On offer is the opportunity to join an established UKAS-accredited Certification Body and Machinery Directive Approved Body with more than 30 years of experience in machinery safety. This is a key appointment created through growth, giving you responsibility for supporting the company's continued development while improving operational efficiency, quality and customer delivery.
In this role, you will oversee client relationships, project planning and the day-to-day coordination of engineering and project management teams. You will also lead improvements across administration, quality systems, HR processes, compliance, training and office management, working closely with the Director to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required certification standards.
This role would suit an Operations Manager, Certification Manager, Technical Operations Manager, Compliance Manager, Business Operations Manager or Service Delivery Manager with direct experience within the TIC or certification industry.
The Role
- Take overall responsibility for client relationships and project delivery
- Manage work planning for engineering and project management teams
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to customer expectations
- Improve operational processes, administration and the company quality system
- Support certification, compliance and regulatory activities
- Manage staff records, inductions, competence assessments and training
- Oversee health and safety, data protection and business-wide compliance
- Provide professional and operational support to the Director
Office-based in Macclesfield, Monday-Friday
The Person
- Experience within the Testing, Inspection and Certification industry
- Direct experience working for a certification or conformity assessment business
- Machinery, manufacturing or engineering certification experience advantageous
- Strong project, client and people management skills
- Experience managing quality systems and regulated processes
- Highly organised and able to manage competing priorities
- Strong leadership, communication and administrative skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Commutable to Macclesfield
