Full job description for a Technical Operations Manager (Gas / Heating / Renewables) in Saltash / South West Patch with a salary of £65,000-£70,000 plus performance commission, private healthcare, pension, share scheme, and opportunities for progression.

In this role, you will oversee domestic and commercial heating operations while helping expand renewable service offerings. You will support technical teams, improve operational performance, and build relationships with housing providers, commercial clients, and stakeholders across the region.

This role would suit a Technical Operations Manager, Gas Manager, Contracts Manager, Heating Manager, Service Manager, or commercially minded engineering leader looking for long-term progression and influence.

The Role:
  • Oversee domestic gas and heating maintenance operations
  • Provide technical leadership and support to engineering teams
  • Support business growth across gas, heating, and renewable services
  • Build relationships with local authorities, contractors, and commercial clients
  • Support commercial gas installation and servicing projects
  • Develop renewable technologies including heat pumps and low-carbon systems
  • Support tender submissions, pricing exercises, and mobilisation projects
  • Monitor KPIs, compliance, and operational delivery performance
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop operational teams
