You’ll be responsible for managing budgets, procurement, subcontractors, and client relationships, all while ensuring exceptional delivery standards and regulatory compliance.

Our client is a well-established fire protection contractor with a strong reputation across the UK for delivering high-quality fire detection, suppression, and alarm systems. With a portfolio spanning commercial, residential, and mission-critical environments—including data centres—they are known for technical excellence, compliance, and a collaborative approach to project delivery.

  • Organise and manage the full execution of projects, ensuring all aspects—from design and procurement to delivery—align with predetermined budgets.
  • Oversee and supervise both direct and subcontract labour, including supply-and-fix subcontractors.
  • Manage and process payments related to subcontract labour and assist with final account preparation.
  • Coordinate with head office for the approval and payment of supplier and subcontractor invoices, and liaise with the buying department for procurement needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records to monitor ongoing project costs against budgets.
  • Prepare applications and invoice requests for active contracts.
  • Support the sales or estimation team when required.
  • Ensure continuity across all project stages through strong collaboration with sales, design, and service departments.
  • Represent the company with professionalism—building and maintaining strong client relationships while promoting a positive and credible company image.
  • Evaluate and foster effective working relationships between teams and external professionals.
  • Maintain a high standard of project delivery, supporting our commitment to excellence and industry leadership.
  • Support site managers and work as a collaborative team player.
  • Stay aware of competitor activities and industry trends.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Previous project management experience is essential, ideally within the fire protection, construction, or building services sector.
  • Proven experience managing fire protection projects within data centres or other mission-critical environments.
  • Strong budget management and procurement skills.
  • Proficient in supervising labour and managing subcontractor performance.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Well-organized with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • A professional and proactive approach to client and stakeholder engagement.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction, fire protection, or project management.
  • Familiarity with fire systems, standards, and compliance regulations.
  • Construction White Card or equivalent certifications.

Why Join Us:

  • Competitive salary and performance-based incentives.
