We are recruiting for a CCTV Engineer for one of our clients who are a well-established and rapidly expanding security technology company is seeking an experienced CCTV Field Engineer to join their team, you will be expected to travel across Glasgow and Edinburgh. The business specialises in delivering advanced security solutions for temporary and remote sites, partnering with major clients across the construction, rail, and civil engineering sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with a strong background in IP CCTV systems who is looking to play a key role within a growing organisation. Key Responsibilities * Install and commission IP CCTV systems. * Carry out maintenance and fault-finding on CCTV equipment. * Identify and resolve system issues on-site with minimal supervision. * Complete all relevant documentation and reports on time. * Train end users on new systems and provide guidance on potential false alarm risks. * Ensure professional and effective communication with clients. * Prepare equipment and documentation prior to site visits. * Manage van stock, conduct stock checks, and replenish as required. * Maintain the condition and safety of your assigned vehicle, reporting any faults. * Perform on-the-day risk assessments and identify site-specific hazards. * Adhere strictly to company Health & Safety procedures and installation standards. Experience & Skills Required * Proven experience installing and commissioning CCTV systems. * Comfortable working with Hikvision, Dahua, Uniview, Hanwha; knowledge of Ajax is an advantage. * Strong understanding of system design and configuration in line with relevant British Standards. * Confident in working both independently and within a team. * Experience working outdoors in varying conditions. * Flexible approach to travel and working hours (including out-of-hours work and on-call duties). * Elevated level of customer service – able to represent the company professionally on client sites. * Solid understanding of IP networking and IT competence. Essential Requirements * Full UK driving licence. * CSCS card or equivalent industry-recognised H&S certification. * Ability to pass BS7858 security screening (you will need valid ID, proof of address, etc.) * Screening must be completed within 12 weeks of your start date (employment is conditional until cleared).
