We care about the environment and if you do too, we’ll have a lot in common. We are proud to have worked closely with Anglian Water for many years, helping them to supply safe drinking water to 4.3 million people. As water resources are being squeezed, we’re also helping them to take proactive steps to ‘love every drop, every day’ and to ‘save every drop, every day’. This is where you come in.

As a Smart Water Meter Technician, you will be upgrading existing meters to one of our new smart meters, so people can see how and when their water is being used. Since the first meters were installed in 2020, they have helped Anglian Water customers to find and resolve over 100,000 leaks at their properties. To do this, you will use the latest tech to upgrade and link the new smart meter to the closest mast, then explain to your customer how their new smart meter works!

If you can drive, are happy working outdoors, are physically fit and have great customer service skills, we would love to hear from you! We are focused on recruiting colleagues based on their potential. It doesn’t matter about previous work experience, as we’ll teach you everything you need to know – a great work ethic and a willingness to learn is more important to us.

What do you get in return? In addition to the salary and benefits, you will be given a van and fuel card and we’ll provide you with plenty of training. Most activities will be outdoors so you will be provided with high quality PPE to protect you from the elements. This is a brilliant role to kick start your career in the water industry and we look forward to receiving your application!

Please note the hours for this role: (Spring/Summer) 8 months - 07:30 – 17:30 and (Autumn/Winter) 4 months – 07:30 – 16:00.

Our Company: Every day we work smarter, greener and use our imaginations. Our purpose at Clancy is simple - we make life better for everyone’s growing families. We play a vital role in providing fresh drinking water and power to millions of homes and businesses. We are one of the biggest family-owned construction businesses in the UK and we care about our people, our clients and the environment.

What Next: You apply, and we respond within two weeks. If you don’t receive feedback within that timescale, please don’t be afraid to chase us - one of our values is to do what we say we will do! In addition to helping you reach your career goals, we offer a competitive salary, pension, healthcare and holiday allowance starting at 22 days per annum. We also offer perks including Clancy Xtras, our employee benefits programme with discounts for numerous well-known retailers, cycle to work scheme as well as an Employee Assistance Programme.

Clancy is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all our employees. If you require any reasonable adjustments to be made for you to attend an interview, please do let us know and we will be happy to accommodate.
