As a R & M Supervisor on our South East Water contract, you will be supervising and monitoring the performance of water distribution teams who undertake repair and maintenance activities. In this fast-paced environment, we’ll be making good use of health & safety expertise, as well as your organisation. You will ensure our field teams are effectively managed and able to cope with project demand and appropriate assistance and mentorship is provided to promote a ‘right first time and zero harm safety culture’.

Responsibilities

  • Attend site meetings to ensure optimal planning of work, plant and labour resources.
  • Promote and drive continual improvement and innovative ideas.
  • Proactively manage schedules to minimise disruption and preventable mistakes.
  • Reduce aborts, re-work and traffic management fines.
  • Manage employee training and ensure your direct reports are developed to make their best contribution.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant H&S and environmental legislation.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role, ideally within the construction, utilities, or water sectors, with a strong track record of leading teams in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • A sound understanding of Street Works is essential, with Street Works (NRSWA) accreditation highly desirable.
  • A management qualification, such as ILM or similar, is preferred, reflecting your ability to lead effectively, manage performance, and support the development of your team.
  • A full UK driving licence.
