This 345 bedroom hotel has recently undergone a £20m transformation and is a luxury 4 star deluxe hotel.
What you’ll be doing
As Restaurant General Manager, you’ll take full ownership of the day-to-day operation of The Soak, leading both the guest experience and commercial performance of the venue.
You’ll inspire and develop your team to deliver consistently high standards while creating an environment that feels energetic, inclusive and guest-focused.
Working closely with hotel leadership and support teams, you’ll ensure the venue continues to grow its reputation as a destination within the local area and beyond.
Responsibilities include
- Guest Experience & Service Excellence
- Lead from the front to deliver exceptional guest experiences at every touchpoint
- Create a warm, vibrant and welcoming atmosphere throughout the venue
- Ensure service standards are consistently delivered and continuously elevated
- Handle guest feedback and service recovery with professionalism and care
Leadership & Team Development - Inspire, coach and develop a high-performing front-of-house team
- Create a positive and engaging team culture where people feel valued and supported
- Drive performance through regular feedback, training and development
- Support recruitment, onboarding and succession planning within the department
- Commercial Performance
- Drive revenue growth and maximise profitability across food and beverage operations
- Monitor labour, payroll and cost controls in line with business objectives
- Identify opportunities to increase covers, guest spend and repeat business
- Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to support promotions, activations and events
- Operations & Compliance
- Oversee the smooth day-to-day operation of the restaurant and bar
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, licensing and food safety standards
- Maintain high presentation standards across all guest-facing areas
- Collaborate closely with kitchen and hotel teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Brand & Community Engagement
- Act as an ambassador for The Soak and Clermont Victoria within the local community
- Build relationships with regular guests, local businesses and partners
- Support initiatives that strengthen the venue’s reputation and visibility

We’re looking for someone with strong operational leadership, commercial awareness and a genuine passion for hospitality.
- Previous experience in a Restaurant General Manager or senior F&B leadership role
- Strong understanding of restaurant and bar operations within a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop high-performing teams
- Excellent guest service and relationship-building skills
- Strong commercial awareness and experience managing budgets and performance
- Positive, energetic and highly guest-focused
- Confident leading from the front in a busy hospitality environment
