We have an opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team working within the Anglian Water Alliance on the DPG Mains Renewal programme. This role can be based out of Huntingdon, Lincoln or Northampton, with travel across operational sites as required.
This role plays a key part in supporting the commercial management of large-scale water mains renewal works, helping ensure delivery is commercially robust, efficient and aligned to NEC contract requirements and alliance objectives.
Here are some of the activities you will be involved in:
- Preparing and maintaining cost value reconciliations, forecasts and cost reporting
- Monitoring project costs and ensuring accurate financial control and reporting
- Identifying, pricing and agreeing compensation events/variations in line with NEC contracts
- Supporting subcontract procurement and managing subcontract accounts
- Working closely with operational, delivery and planning teams to track progress and cost performance across the DPG programme
- Managing work in progress and supporting accurate revenue recovery
- Producing commercial reports, dashboards and performance data for alliance stakeholders
- Supporting final account preparation and commercial close-out activities
- Building strong working relationships across the alliance, including clients, contractors and delivery partners
We would love to hear from you if:
- You have experience working within utilities, civil engineering or infrastructure delivery, with a strong understanding of commercial management in a contractor or alliance environment. Experience within water sector capital delivery or mains renewal programmes would be highly advantageous.
- You will have a solid understanding of NEC contracts, and be confident managing cost reporting, forecasting and subcontractor accounts.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage change effectively within a live delivery environment are key to success in this role.
- You’ll be organized, detail-focused and comfortable working in a fast-paced, operational programme environment, with the ability to communicate clearly across site, delivery and client-side teams.
- A proactive, collaborative approach will enable you to add value across the DPG Mains Renewal programme.
- A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline is essential, along with a full UK driving licence, as travel across operational sites will be required.
