We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Manager, playing a key role in shaping and delivering our IT infrastructure services. This is a senior role within the IT function, responsible for ensuring technology platforms are secure, resilient, and aligned to the needs of the wider business.
Here are some of the activities you will be involved in:
- Managing IT systems and service delivery to meet business needs and expectations
- Influencing and communicating effectively with senior leaders across the business
- Working with IT leadership to define and develop IT strategy and architecture
- Ensuring appropriate business continuity mechanisms and disaster recovery plans are in place and regularly tested
- Promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the IT department
- Evaluating, adopting, and experimenting with new and emerging technologies and ways of working
- Providing inspirational leadership and development for a team of technical specialists
- Providing strategic technical guidance to other IT teams and the wider business
- Working closely with the Head of IT Operations and Security to maintain the integrity and security of IT systems and data
- Supporting the Service Desk to deliver a first-class support service to colleagues
- Working with other business areas to provide technical advice and guidance
- Creating an environment of continuous learning and professional development
- Selecting, managing, and performance-managing third-party suppliers and service providers
- Leading procurement processes and contractual negotiations for new systems and services
- Deputising for the Head of IT Operations and Security when required
We would love to hear from you if you have in-depth technical knowledge across cloud platforms, data centres, servers, networks, telecoms, and end-user technologies, combined with strong leadership experience within an IT infrastructure environment. Proven experience leading multi-disciplined enterprise-scale infrastructure programmes will be essential, along with the ability to work with architecture frameworks such as SOA and TOGAF to translate technical strategy into practical, business-focused solutions. Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage effectively with senior stakeholders across the organisation are key, as is the ability to build trusted working relationships. Experience using Power BI or similar reporting tools would be desirable. A proactive mindset, commitment to continuous improvement, and a genuine interest in innovation and developing people will support success in this role.
