We are looking to recruit a permanent Grab Driver to support contract operations across our water network. This is a key role where you’ll assist site teams with the safe operation of vehicles and plant machinery, supporting excavation activities, backfilling, and the clearance of arisings. You’ll be responsible for all activities and the safe operation of vehicle and plant machinery within a designated geographical area, helping to keep our projects running safely and efficiently.

Here are some of the activities you’ll be involved in:

  • Supporting operational contracts through multi-drop activities relating to vehicle and plant machinery.
  • Completing daily operational and maintenance checks on your vehicle.
  • Ensuring sites are safe before starting work and upon completion.
  • Complying with all legal and legislative policies and procedures, including health, safety, environmental standards and the Highway Code.

Qualifications

You hold a full and valid UK driving licence appropriate for HGV Class 2, with proven experience operating grab lorries safely and efficiently. You’ll ideally hold NRSWA (Streetworks) qualifications and a valid CPC, with an Approved HIAB Operator certification. If you’re also qualified as a Telescopic Handler Operator, that would be a real advantage. Above all, you’ll be a reliable team player who takes pride in maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and professionalism in everything you do.
