Your role

You will work closely with the food and beverage leadership team in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the Hotel and the satisfaction of guests.

Responsibilities of Food & Beverage Assistant /Bartender will include but are not limited to:

We're looking for a true food and drink enthusiast to join our F&B team, covering both host and bar duties with equal care and pride.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare the host station before service — menus, reservations, table plans and guest notes accurate and ready
• Review covers, VIPs, special occasions, dietary and accessibility needs ahead of each service
• Welcome, seat and settle guests promptly, creating a strong first impression
• Manage reservations, walk-ins and waiting lists, giving realistic updates when tables aren't ready
• Maintain the table plan, allocating seating based on availability, preference and service pace
• Communicate guest names, requirements and celebrations discreetly to the team
• Handle phone and in-person booking enquiries, amendments, cancellations and deposits accurately
• Support large parties, private dining and events with clear coordination
• Prepare a glass of wines, cocktails, speciality drinks
• Deliver high standards of hospitality behind the bar and front of house, anticipating regulars' needs
• Keep guest-facing areas clean, organised and presentable throughout service
• Respond to guest questions and minor concerns promptly, escalating where needed
• Complete accurate shift handovers, flagging outstanding requests or incidents
• Work collaboratively across Restaurant, Bar, Kitchen, Events and Reception to ensure a seamless guest experience

The ideal person for this role will be enthusiastic about change, focused on details and trusting.

The core skills and experience required to succeed

• Truly passionate about the Hospitality Industry;
• Previous restaurant or bar experience in a busy environment is preferred but not essential;
• Excellent personal presentation;
• Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures;
• Ability to function independently with a minimum of supervision;
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to communicate verbally and in writing ;
• To be an enthusiastic team player with a flexible approach.
• Have in-depth knowledge of wines, cocktails and speciality drinks.
