We Care.... and if you are concerned about the environment and what’s going on around you - we have a lot in common! Due to continued growth we have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Environmental Advisor. If you’re keen to kick off your career as an Environmentalist, where you will be out on site, talking to engineers and spotting risks before they become problems, plus helping to put practical solutions in place, this could be the role for you. This is not a desk‑based sustainability strategy role, it’s about being present, visible, and influential where it really matters. You’ll be supporting projects through design, construction, and reinstatement, helping our teams stay compliant, minimise environmental impact, and continuously improve how we work.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting site‑based environmental assessments and producing practical environmental management plans
  • Working alongside operational teams to ensure work complies with legal, regulatory, and company requirements
  • Assisting with inspections and audits in line with ISO 14001, permits and environmental legislation, identifying issues early and helping implement corrective actions
  • Supporting incident management and helping ensure lessons are learned and embedded in operational practice
  • Monitoring environmental performance and translating data into meaningful actions for project teams
  • Engaging confidently with colleagues, clients, and regulators to provide clear and practical advice
  • Promoting environmental best practice and encouraging smarter, more responsible ways of working

Qualifications and Experience

  • You are a recent graduate with a degree in an environmental discipline, with a keen interest in applying your knowledge in a practical and hands‑on environment.
  • Curiosity and confidence when engaging with people are qualities that are important.
  • Previous experience from a work placement or internship would be an advantage.
  • A genuine interest in protecting the environment through action, not theory, is essential.
  • Membership or a desire to progress towards professional accreditation such as IEMA, CIWEM, IES, or CIWM would be advantageous.
  • As this role is field‑based, you will be provided with a small van, so a full UK manual driving licence is essential.

Who this role is ideal for

  • Someone who wants to be out on site and working closely with operational teams.
  • Someone who wants to solve real‑world problems in real time.
  • Someone who wants a role that is practical and not biased towards sustainability.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary, pension, healthcare and holiday allowance starting at 24-26 days per annum, and perks including Clancy Xtras, our employee benefits programme with discounts for numerous well‑known retailers such as Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Currys PC World and Vue Cinemas, cycle‑to‑work scheme as well as an Employee Assistance Programme.
