The role of Business Development Manager - Food & Beverage, is to drive revenue into our defined food and beverage outlets, through private social events, exclusive use buyouts, private corporate dining and group dining opportunities in line with budget. With a three-year strategy to develop new food and beverage outlets across our group, you will contribute towards launching new openings within the vibrant London food and drink scene and defining CHG restaurants & bars as firm favorites and destinations of choice for EA’s, concierge companies, identified commercial partners and key agents when considering their corporate entertainment requirements.
This role will have the responsibility for generating new businesses and growth through proactive management of existing accounts, focused on corporate socialising. The role will also be responsible for supporting the development and tactical management of food and beverage third party channels to positively influence demand during off peak and low season periods to maximise capacity and revenue for our restaurants and bars.
What you'll be doing
- Have a clear understanding of the food and beverage business mix, budget strategy and support accordingly
- Support the delivery of the strategic food and beverage plan across each hotel to achieve target revenue
- Consistently deliver on agreed weekly activity targets for leads, calls and appointments and demonstrate results from the activity
- Grow revenue and deliver targeted revenue growth through relationship building and understanding of our existing clients
- Understand our competitors' business through site visits, keeping up to date with trends to help inform our strategy
- Identify innovative ways to drive new sales leads with a structured follow up plan
- Understand areas of focus for underperforming food and beverage outlets and find ways to address the shortfall
- Work closely with hotels to help align pricing and proposition with relevant competitor set
- Utilise salesforce and other food and beverage CRM systems to enrich client specific data to build a deep understanding of accounts, the opportunities that exist and to share key information specifically focusing on food and beverage.
- Consistently look for opportunities outside your own remit to benefit all hotels in the group
