The Role
We have a brand-new opportunity for a Level 4 Apprentice Civil Engineer, to join our team, supporting major water infrastructure projects. Clancy is a great place to start your career, as we’re a corporate member of the AOA (Association of Apprentices), that connects apprentices across the UK via a dedicated social and professional networking platform.
Here are some of the activities you’ll get involved with:
- Assist senior engineers with design, planning and technical tasks across projects.
- Support the preparation and updating of technical drawings, models and specifications.
- Help collect, record and analyse technical data to support engineering decisions.
- Participate in site visits, inspections, surveys, or testing activities under supervision.
- Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, calculations and documentation.
- Learn to use industry-standard engineering software, tools and systems.
- Support the coordination of engineering activities with other teams and disciplines.
- Follow health, safety, environmental and quality procedures.
- Assist with identifying risks, issues, or improvement opportunities on projects.
- Maintain accurate records in line with project and company requirements.
- Apply relevant engineering standards, codes and best practices.
What you need:
- 5 GCSEs A-C including Maths and English or equivalent (reformed GCSEs grade 4 or above), and ...
- A Level EEE - Must include Mathematics and preferably a Science in either Chemistry or Physics, or T-level (Pass or above) in Construction: Design, Surveying and Planning. (UCAS points: 72), or BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma MPP in an Engineering subject area or Construction and Built Environment area (Must include Mathematics and Further Mathematics), or BTEC Level 3 National Diploma MM in an Engineering subject area, with a minimum of merit in Mathematics and Further Mathematics. (UCAS points: 64) or Civil Engineering Technician Level 3 apprenticeship, alongside grade Pass or Distinction at EPA.
In return, we will offer you:
- Support throughout the apprenticeship, to help you achieve a fully funded Level 4 recognised Civil Engineering Senior Technician qualification.
- Upon successful completion of your Level 4 qualification, you will have the opportunity to continue achieving qualifications and eventually becoming chartered.
