People2people are hiring for an Assistant Finance Manager to join an exciting family-run automotive business based in South London. Due to expansion, the business is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to join the Finance team.
This role is ideal for someone who is part-qualified or just starting their ACCA/CIMA qualification. It offers a clear promotion route to Finance Manager, making it an excellent opportunity for career progression. Supporting the Head of Finance, you will work on a variety of tasks. The role includes on-the-job training and professional study support.
Please note, this role requires working 5 days a week in the office. Only apply if you are willing to commit to this schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head of Finance with regular accounting tasks such as month-end, quarterly reports, aged debtors review, and bank reconciliations.
- Supervise two accountants daily and support them as needed.
- Identify and implement process improvements related to financial processes and systems.
- Assist with forecasts and budgeting preparation.
- Ensure invoices are processed according to company policy and paid timely.
- Review credit card and expense transactions, maintaining accurate records.
- Maintain and update rebate calculations.
- Support the implementation of a new ERP system.
- Perform ad hoc duties as required.
