We are currently looking for a Customer Service Advisor to join our Payroll and Billing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative, international organisation where you'll play an important role in supporting both workers and clients while delivering an outstanding customer experience.

Based in Warrington with a hybrid working arrangement of two days per week in the office, this role reports to the Payroll Manager.

Internally, your job title will be AOR Contractor Care Specialist.

What will you be doing as a Customer Service Advisor?

  • Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience by ensuring our Customer Commitment is reflected in every interaction.
  • Respond promptly to internal and external enquiries within agreed service levels, working with colleagues across the business to achieve timely resolutions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across multiple systems, ensuring high standards of data quality and compliance.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with workers and clients, supporting long-term satisfaction and engagement.
  • Manage worker communications, including legislative updates and client-specific information.
  • Review contracts, purchase orders and pricing terms to support accurate and compliant billing, while resolving invoice-related queries and discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Legal and Accounts Receivable teams to support contract amendments, billing activities and payment-related enquiries.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, support system enhancements and automation initiatives, and assist with reporting and reconciliation activities.

What experience are we looking for?

  • Previous experience in a customer service, billing, credit control, accounts receivable or collections environment, with confidence handling payment-related queries and challenging conversations professionally and empathetically.
  • Strong attention to detail, with experience accurately entering, maintaining and validating data across multiple systems.
  • Proven ability to resolve issues, handle objections and provide effective solutions while maintaining positive relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working across multiple systems and platforms, with the ability to quickly learn new processes and technologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Outlook, Word and Teams, with the ability to manage data, reporting and day-to-day administrative tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain information clearly and professionally.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads, manage competing demands and work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • A customer-focused approach, with a proactive mindset and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding service.
