JOY IN MOVEMENT (J.I.M) – Studio Assistant. The UK’s first fully automated infrared fitness studio featuring 30-minute classes in 40° heat, DJ beats, low-impact moves, and a welcoming community. We’re new to the UK, loved by Forbes and Time Out, and growing fast. Our studio is built on wellness that feels joyful, accessible, and welcoming.

The Role: As Studio Assistant you are the first and last friendly touchpoint for members. You’ll help keep the studio running smoothly, make members feel at home, and contribute to growing the J.I.M community. This role suits someone who loves wellness, enjoys people, and has instincts for social media.

Reports To: Studio Manager – day-to-day shifts, member experience, content, and admin support.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Member Experience & Community: Welcome every member by name and make them feel at home from the moment they walk in. Get to know regulars: what classes they love, what they’re working on, and how to keep them coming back. Help at studio events, socials, and member milestones (birthdays, 100-class celebrations, etc.). Answer questions about classes, infrared benefits, memberships, and the J.I.M App. Be a friendly point of contact for first-timers — show them around, set them up, and ease nerves before class.
  • Social Media & Content: Help capture content for Instagram and TikTok: Reels, stories, behind-the-scenes, and post-class snaps. Film members (with consent), classes in action, and day-to-day J.I.M moments. Engage with the local online community by replying to comments and DMs in brand voice. Share ideas; spot trends and suggest in-studio creative opportunities.
  • Wellness & Studio Vibe: Keep the studio clean, calm, and ready for the next class; maintain scents and presentation. Reset the hot room between classes and perform daily presentation checks. Be a wellness advocate by sharing class tips, hydration reminders, and recovery advice naturally.
  • Day-to-Day Operations: Open and close the studio, perform light cleaning and equipment checks. Manage the booking system (Hapana Core): check-ins, waitlists, swaps, and member queries. Support the Studio Manager with admin, member follow-ups, and local projects. Assist with Free Pass leads — warmly follow up, book trials, and welcome new faces. Submit incident reports same-day for safety and compliance tracking.

How We’ll Measure Success:

  • Members feel personally welcomed and are acknowledged by name.
  • First-timers convert to regulars through effective follow-up.
  • The studio is consistently class-ready: clean, calm, and on-brand.
  • Content captured during shifts contributes to the studio’s social channels.
  • Bookings, check-ins, and member queries are handled accurately and on time.

A Typical Shift:

  • Before Class: Open the studio: lights, music, scent, and temperature check. Sweep reception, run equipment checks. Greet arrivals by name; check in first-timers and guide them through basics.
  • During Class: Capture short content moments (with consent) for social channels. Welcome late arrivals quietly and handle reception queries.
  • Between & After Class: Reset the hot room — wipe down, restock, refresh. Send members off with a warm goodbye and a hydration nudge. Reply to DMs or comments in brand voice. Close down: clean, lock up, and complete the closing checklist.

You’ll Be Great at This If You…

  • Love people and lead with warmth — non-negotiable.
  • Are passionate about wellness in any form (movement, recovery, mindset, or infrared).
  • Have an eye for content and knowledge of Instagram and TikTok.
  • Are reliable, punctual, and proactive — you notice little things that need doing.
  • Communicate clearly and kindly, in person and on screen.
  • Can handle a busy reception, a curious first-timer, and a content idea all at once.

The Good Stuff:

  • Salary: £12.80 per hour.
  • Hours: Part-time, 16 hours/week with flexible shifts including evenings and weekends.
  • Location: Dronfield.
  • Holiday: 28 days statutory pro-rata holiday allowance.
  • Unlimited free classes for you.
  • Real opportunity to grow — many future Studio Managers start here.
  • A warm, fun, supportive team and a brand that walks its wellness talk.
