About J.I.M
Hi there! We’re Joy in Movement (J.I.M), the UK’s first fully automated infrared fitness studio. Think 30-minute classes in glowing 40° heat, fresh DJ beats, low-impact moves, and a community of people who leave feeling lighter, sweatier, and a little more themselves. We’re new to the UK but already loved, featured in Forbes and Time Out, and growing fast. Our studio is built on the idea that wellness should feel joyful, accessible, and welcoming. The Role
As Studio Assistant you’re the first smile members see and the last wave they get on the way out. You’ll keep the studio running beautifully, help members feel at home, and play a real part in growing the J.I.M community. This is the perfect role for someone who’s passionate about wellness, loves people, and has good instincts for social media. Studio Manager - day-to-day shifts, member experience, content, and admin support.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Member Experience & Community
- Welcome every member by name and make them feel at home from the moment they walk in.
- Get to know the regulars: what classes they love, what they’re working on, how to keep them coming back.
- Help out at studio events, socials, and member milestones (birthdays, 100-class celebrations, all of it).
- Answer member questions about classes, infrared benefits, memberships, and the J.I.M App.
- Be a friendly point of contact for first-timers - show them around, set them up, and take the nerves out of class one.
- Social Media & Content
- Help capture content for the studio’s Instagram and TikTok: Reels, stories, behind-the-scenes, post-class snaps.
- Be on hand to film members (with consent), classes in action, and the day-to-day J.I.M magic.
- Engage with our local online community by replying to comments and DMs in our brand voice.
- Bring ideas - if you spot a trend, suggest it. We love an in-studio creative.
- Wellness & Studio Vibe
- Keep the studio looking and feeling its best: clean, calm, beautifully scented, ready for the next class.
- Reset the hot room between classes and complete daily presentation checks.
- Be a wellness advocate - share class tips, hydration reminders, and recovery advice in a way that feels natural, not pushy.
- Day-to-Day Operations
- Open and close the studio, including light cleaning and equipment checks.
- Manage the booking system in Hapana Core: check-ins, waitlists, swaps, and member queries.
- Support the Studio Manager with admin, member follow-ups, and any local projects.
- Help with Free Pass leads - follow up warmly, book in trials, and welcome new faces.
- Submit any incident reports same-day for safety and compliance tracking.
How We’ll Measure Success
- Members feel personally welcomed - acknowledged and greeted by name as soon as you’re free.
- First-timers convert to regulars - you actively support the Free Trial follow-up flow.
- The studio is always class-ready - clean, calm, and on-brand.
- Content captured during your shifts contributes consistently to the studio’s social channels.
- Bookings, check-ins, and member queries are handled accurately and on time.
A Typical Shift
- Before Class
- Open the studio: lights, music, scent, temperature check.
- Sweep reception, run the equipment check.
- Greet arrivals by name; check in first-timers and walk them through the basics.
- During Class
- Capture a few short content moments (with consent) for Instagram and TikTok.
- Welcome late arrivals quietly and handle any reception queries.
- Between & After Class
- Reset the hot room - wipe down, restock, refresh.
- Send members off with a warm goodbye and a hydration nudge.
- Reply to any DMs or comments in brand voice.
- Close down: clean, lock up, complete the closing checklist.
You’ll Be Great at This If You…

- Salary: £12.80 per hour.
- Hours: Part-time, 16 hours/week with flexible shifts including evenings and weekends.
