An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Environmental Advisor to join a major nuclear construction programme, supporting the delivery of next‑generation low‑carbon energy. This is a site‑based role where you will play a key part in driving environmental compliance, sustainability performance and continuous improvement across a highly regulated project environment.
Working alongside construction teams, contractors and environmental specialists, you will help ensure environmental standards are upheld while contributing to a project with long‑term national impact and excellent career progression opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular environmental site inspections and identify compliance issues or best practice.
- Provide advice on environmental legislation, permits and planning conditions.
- Review Environmental Management Plans, RAMS and contractor documentation.
- Support environmental audits, inspections and self‑assessments.
- Investigate environmental incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor contractor compliance with DCO and environmental requirements.
- Promote positive environmental behaviours across construction teams.
- Escalate environmental risks and non‑compliances appropriately.
