This is a unique opportunity for a skilled Power BI Developer to shape how data is used across a nationally significant infrastructure programme. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality dashboards and analytics solutions that influence real-world decisions. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver Power BI dashboards, reports and semantic models
  • Design and maintain enterprise-grade data models using best practice
  • Implement governance frameworks, including workspace and access control
  • Optimise performance of datasets, reports and data pipelines
  • Ensure compliance with security, audit and data protection standards
  • Produce clear technical documentation for reporting solutions
  • Support platform administration and capacity-aware design
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into insights
  • Monitor and improve reporting performance and scalability
  • Provide technical guidance on Power BI best practice and architecture

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query and data modelling (star schema)
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric architecture
  • Proven ability to optimise performance of datasets and reports
  • Strong SQL skills and understanding of data sources for analytics
  • Knowledge of governance, security and RBAC frameworks
  • Experience with tools such as Tabular Editor, DAX Studio or ALM Toolkit
  • Understanding of Azure AD or Entra ID and data gateway architecture
  • Familiarity with Python for analytics (desirable)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
