Key Responsibilities
- Define and deliver the global engineering strategy aligned with business growth objectives.
- Lead and develop high‑performing engineering teams across multiple international sites.
- Drive engineering standardisation while maintaining capability for bespoke customer solutions.
- Establish robust engineering governance, standards, and best practices.
- Champion engineering transformation through digitalisation and process improvement.
- Provide technical leadership across product design, validation, and lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with Operations, Commercial, Product Management, and Supply Chain.
- Develop engineering talent, succession plans, and capability programmes.
- Support strategic customer engagements and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Drive continuous improvements in quality, efficiency, and engineering performance.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Chartered Engineer status or equivalent is desirable.
- Significant senior engineering leadership experience within transformers or heavy electrical equipment.
- Proven success leading global, multi‑site engineering organisations.
- Deep technical knowledge of transformer design and engineered products.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and commercial awareness.
- Experience delivering engineering transformation and organisational change.
- Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 40 %). This role can be based in the EU or UK – alternate travel.
