Overview
Shape the delivery of one of the UK’s most critical low-carbon programmes. This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in a nationally significant nuclear energy programme, driving transformation at portfolio level. You will sit at the heart of decision-making, setting standards, improving visibility and enabling confident delivery across complex, high-impact initiatives. Responsibilities
- Lead and embed PMO standards, governance and delivery frameworks across the Transformation Portfolio.
- Support the Portfolio Manager with integrated planning, RAID management and portfolio maintenance.
- Review and validate programme and project plans to ensure consistent tracking and transparency.
- Own milestone, stage gate and dependency management across strategic initiatives.
- Produce high-quality portfolio reporting for senior governance forums and SteerCo.
- Maintain dashboards, performance metrics and progress visibility.
- Identify, manage and escalate risks, issues and interdependencies.
- Support stakeholder communications and portfolio-level assurance activity.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience within a Portfolio or Programme Management Office.
- Strong knowledge of project methodologies (Agile, PRINCE2, MSP).
- Experience setting PMO standards, governance and reporting frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Confident managing RAID, change control and complex interdependencies.
- Degree educated or equivalent experience.
- Desirable: PMO or project certifications (PMP, APM, P3O).
