Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine electrical maintenance across nuclear power station plant and equipment.
- Perform testing, inspection and fault‑finding activities to maintain operational reliability.
- Support refurbishment, modification and plant improvement projects.
- Assist with planned outage activities across the UK nuclear fleet.
- Follow approved maintenance procedures, work instructions and RAMS.
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematics and technical documentation.
- Maintain the highest standards of health, safety and regulatory compliance.
- Build effective working relationships with colleagues, clients and supply chain partners.
- Accurately complete maintenance records and technical documentation.
- Contribute to a positive, team‑focused and results‑driven working environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical or a relevant engineering discipline.
- Completed engineering apprenticeship or equivalent technical training.
- Proven experience working as a Technician or in a similar engineering role.
- Experience within a highly regulated or safety‑critical environment.
- Strong understanding of engineering health and safety standards.
- Knowledge of plant, machinery and electrical systems.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics and work instructions.
- Competent using hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- NVQ Level 3 in Lifting and Moving Loads is advantageous.
