We are currently working with a globally established engineering and construction specialist to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team. Headquartered in Norfolk, UK, the business delivers complex, design‑led projects across Europe, North America, and Asia. Known for their expertise in structural glazing and ETFE systems, they play a key role in bringing ambitious architectural concepts to life through engineering excellence and innovation.
Opportunity
This is a hands‑on commercial role where you’ll take ownership of projects from award through to final account. You’ll work closely with project teams and senior stakeholders, ensuring strong financial control, effective contract management, and proactive risk mitigation.
Responsibilities
- Managing the full commercial lifecycle of projects
- Overseeing client and subcontractor payments
- Handling change management, claims, and contract administration
- Producing CVRs, cost reports, and financial forecasts
- Procuring and managing subcontract packages
- Identifying and managing commercial risks
- Supporting contract negotiations and resolving issues
- Engaging with clients and visiting sites as required
Qualifications
- Degree‑qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying
- Proven QS experience within construction
- Strong understanding of contracts, cost control, and commercial reporting
- Experience managing projects through to final account
- Confident communicator with solid negotiation skills
- Proactive, organised, and commercially aware
