Our Home Care services empower older people and veterans to live safely whilst enjoying as much independence as possible within their own homes. You will provide individualised care tailored to the needs of each client and their families.
Permanent Part time: 2 days (Monday & Tuesday): 9.00am - 3.00pm
Primary responsibilities:
- Meal assistance, including shopping and meal preparation
- Transport and accompaniment, including shopping trips and appointments
- Social support & activities, including outings and social activities
- Personal care, including assistance with personal grooming, hygiene, bathing, dressing
- Provide support for health conditions, including skin care, medication reminders and diabetes management
- Assistance with mobility
- Domestic assistance, including cleaning and laundry
What you will need:
- A kind, caring and respectful approach to service provision
- Certificate III in Aged Care / Individual Support (or similar) or equivalent experience
- Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively in both a team environment and independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work with individuals from a range of social, financial and cultural backgrounds
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Current driver’s license and reliable car
- Australian work rights
- Current national police check (not older than 6 months)
- Prior experience in a similar role in the community/home care (desirable) or Disability/Residential care
- First Aid Certificate (desirable)
