About the Role:

We are seeking a values-driven and proactive Assistant Manager – Home Care Services to assist our Transport and Social Support (Individual & Group) programs, while also providing support to the Home and Garden Maintenance portfolio. This role combines operational oversight with team support to ensure the consistent delivery of safe, person-centred, and high-quality services.

Reporting to the Senior Manager – Home Care Services, you will work closely with our Coordinators to ensure services align with the Aged Care Act, CHSP guidelines, and the vision of People Who Care. Your primary focus will be the effective operational running and continuous improvement of the allocated services.

Base hourly rate: $51 + superannuation. Regular office hours, Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, support, and supervise staff delivering Transport & Social Support services across multiple regions (travel between Perth Metro & Mandurah regions, as necessary)
  • Monitor service quality, performance targets, and client outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and organisational policies.
  • Assist in managing program budgets and accurate record-keeping.
  • Support new referral growth and stakeholder engagement.
  • Collaborate with the People & Culture team to support recruitment, training, and performance reviews.
  • Promote safe working practices and a caring, inclusive culture.
  • Contribute to change initiatives, especially the transition to the new Aged Care Act and Support at Home program

What You\’ll Bring:

  • Current Driver’s Licence and National Police Clearance
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Demonstrated experience leading community or aged care services
  • Strong understanding of Social Support program delivery
  • Ability to support teams through change and continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and record-keeping systems
  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable community members
  • Cert IV or higher qualification in Aged Care, Community Services, or Business
  • Familiarity with Home and Garden Maintenance service delivery
