About Us
We’re People Station – a growing People consultancy that partners with founder-led, scaling businesses to get their people foundations right. Our clients are ambitious, fast-paced, and expect us to cut through the noise and deliver practical people solutions that actually work.
We’re not a traditional HR team. We work flexibly, adapt quickly, and meet founders where they are.
Our service is built around our values:
Encourage — helping people and businesses grow.
Progress — moving things forward with pace and clarity.
Inspire — sparking fresh thinking and better ways of working.
Care — always putting people at the heart of what we do.
The Role
We’re looking for a Part-time People Partner to join our team and support a portfolio of scaling clients (tech, telco, SaaS, services). You’ll be the one who ensures the delivery gets done — from ER cases to policy rollouts, training, recruitment, and coaching managers.
You’ll work closely with our People Director (20+ years’ experience), who leads client strategy and relationships. Your role is to own HR delivery and give founders confidence that their people challenges are handled with care and professionalism.
This isn’t a fixed setup — it’s about flexibility and responsiveness. Some weeks will be busier than others, but you’ll average 20 hours per week (0.5 FTE)
What You’ll Do
- Deliver exceptional service to our clients — pragmatic, commercial, human.
- Manage ER cases (sickness, performance, probation, grievances).
- Handle tricky exits with sensitivity, including hosting exit interviews.
- Run policy reviews and ensure compliance with UK employment law.
- Deliver training sessions to managers and clients on new employment law updates and people practices.
- Lead and assist with recruitment and talent acquisition (job descriptions, shortlisting, interview coordination).
- Support performance processes and engagement initiatives.
- Work across multiple people platforms/HRIS tools (e.g. HiBob, Greenhouse, Trello).
- Coach line managers to handle people issues with confidence.
- Collaborate with our Ops Assistants
- Report into the People Director, escalating when strategic or board-level input is needed.
About You
- Experienced HR Business Partner / People Partner with strong UK ER background.
- Skilled at recruitment and talent delivery.
- Confident delivering training on people and employment law updates.
- Able to adapt quickly to different clients, cultures, and founder styles.
- Pragmatic, commercial, and comfortable working in scaling businesses.
- Enjoy the variety of portfolio work – no two weeks look the same.
- Confident managing workload across multiple clients.
- Able to flex hours around peaks and troughs (averaging 20 hours per week).
- Happy to travel to client sites and our Putney base as needed.
The Offer
- £45,000–£60,000 FTE (pro-rata: ~£22.5k–£30k/year) depending on experience
- Flexible working model (average 2.5 days/week).
- Exposure to multiple founder-led, scaling businesses.
- Be part of a consultancy that does things differently – Practical, Commercial, Human.
- A culture rooted in our values: Encourage, Progress, Inspire, Care.
If you want to use your HR expertise in a flexible, impactful way, and like the idea of working across multiple clients, we’d love to hear from you.
