Our client has gone through an acquisition and is looking for an assistant to the current product manager to bolster their team and face the growth plans we have in place. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver with exceptional communication skills and meticulous attention to details.
Objectives of this role:
- To manage our products throughout their lifecycle actively, including supporting the plan for product releases, supporting the Product Manager, and in conjunction with the Sales, Marketing and Logistics.
- Support delivery of product budgeted revenue and margin through both existing and new product ranges.
- Support the development of a product positioning plan to manage the product lifecycle from the launch event to its conclusion.
- Monitor product development budgets.
- Support the planning, development and marketing of products within the portfolio.
- Create collaterals and sales support training materials (audio-visual presentations, technical data sheets, manuals, etc.).
- Maintain the products database for all products, responsible for reviewing product data to ensure that the management team is kept up to date.
- Continuously monitor market needs and customer requirements, considering future technology/developments, competitor products/services and the changing requirements of regulatory bodies.
- Maintain a list of competitors for each model in the range, creating comprehensive competition analyses for marketing purposes.
Requirements:
- Experience working in a rapidly changing, technical product marketplace.
- Experience manipulating and interpreting data to make recommendations.
- Be comfortable working under pressure and going the extra mile to meet deadlines.
- Experience in taking products to market efficiently and effectively.
- Excellent analytical skills, high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
- Excellent prioritization and multi-tasking abilities.
- Proficient with MS Excel and Power Point.
- An electronic engineering/software engineering qualification is an additional advantage.
Desired:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in business or a technical field, MBA is a plus.
- Ideally, experience in Product Management in an electronics environment.
- Engaging relationship management, stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Mandarin is a distinct advantage.
- Preference given to candidates with industry experience or related industry experience.
