The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Location: Dundee, UK (with extensive UK and global travel)

Salary: circa £50k, but accepting all applications

Hours: 37.5 per week with paid overtime required. This will be a field role where attendance to workshop when not away is required. At the moment it is currently around 70% in the workshop, but this will change as we get more units out the door. We cover globally from the UK but the majority of travel currently is to UK but there will be travel elsewhere when required. In the UK, travel would normally be by a company provided vehicle, although there may be occasions where personal vehicles can be used. Business insurance would be required for anyone joining. All travel will be booked by us for overseas travel including flights/ferries, hotels, and hire cars/vans.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Field Service Engineer to assist with the inspection, repair and maintenance of all products. This includes acoustic and electric predator deterrents, electric stunning systems, 3D biomass cameras and sea lice removal systems. There will be an element of travel required for this role including periods away from home. Your time will be split between the workshop in Dundee as well as customer sites in the UK and globally. The ability to respond to service and support issues at short notice is a further requirement of this role. Experience of the aquaculture, agriculture, marine or offshore industries would be beneficial.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Install, repair and maintain equipment
  • Be a supportive and friendly representative when visiting customers
  • Partner with Technical Support team to ensure quick resolution of technical enquiries and equipment failures
  • Technical support of colleagues in Sales and Marketing teams
  • Support colleagues and suppliers with new product development projects

Experience & Skills:

  • A recognised Electrical and/or Electronics Qualification
  • Experience in mechanical engineering is desirable but not essential
  • Experience in industrial electronic/electrical roles; both in field and workshop environments
  • Methodical fault-finding skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
  • Experience in a customer support or similar customer-facing role
  • Close attention to detail regarding assembly of equipment designed for harsh conditions
  • Small hand-tool and multi-meter experience is desirable
  • Stimulated by problem-solving and finding better ways of working
  • Experience with MS Office and good IT skills
  • Full Driving License
