People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Tipper Driver to join our well-established client based in Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression. This role would also be suitable for candidates with experience as an LGV Class 1 Driver, CE Driver, Articulated Lorry Driver, or other similar driving roles.

Shifts:

  • Monday to Friday (weekend work available)
  • AM starts between 07:30 – 16:30

Rates of Pay:

  • £18.00 per hour (Monday to Friday)

Day-to-Day Duties:

  • Class 1 multi-drop deliveries
  • Operating Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Carrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections
  • Ensuring all goods are loaded and secured correctly
  • Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations
  • Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers
  • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements
  • Assisting with loading and unloading when required

Essential Skills:

  • Valid UK Category C+E Driving Licence
  • Minimum of 12 months' experience driving C+E vehicles
  • No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsement codes)
  • Valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Good spoken and written English
  • Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
  • Strong understanding of UK road traffic laws
  • Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience:

  • Previous experience driving commercial vehicles

Training:

  • Driver assessment required prior to starting
  • Ongoing industry-related training and support
