People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 ADR Driver to join our well-established client based in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent hourly rates, consistent work, and long-term development for both experienced and newly qualified drivers. This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Truck Driver.

Shifts:

  • Day shifts – Monday to Friday
  • Circa 05:00 start times

Rates of Pay:

  • £17.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties: As an HGV Class 2 ADR Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Operating and driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Delivering to RDCs and customer sites
  • Completing loading and unloading duties safely and accurately
  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
  • Adhering to all traffic laws and road safety regulations
  • Maintaining accurate delivery records and paperwork
  • Communicating effectively with dispatch teams, customers, and site staff
  • Working alongside a Driver's Mate to complete multi-drop deliveries where required

Essential Skills: To be successful as an HGV Class 2 ADR Driver, you will need:

  • Valid UK Category C Licence
  • Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
  • European ADR qualification
  • No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN, DR, DD, or CD codes)
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Understanding of road safety and compliance regulations

Desirable Experience:

  • Previous commercial or multi-drop delivery experience
  • Experience handling large or bulky goods
  • Good customer interaction and service skills

Training Provided: Full industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment.
