Job Description Sawmill Operative / Yard Operative – South Cerney \n People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Sawmill Operative / Yard Operative – South Cerney to join our well-established client based in South Cerney . \n This is a fantastic hands-on opportunity offering ongoing work, a temp-to-perm opportunity and an increased rate of pay once permanent.
This role would suit candidates with previous experience as a Labourer, Production Operative, Warehouse Operative, Site Worker or Yard Operative, although full training will be provided. \n £12.74 Per Hour | Temp-to-Perm Opportunity | Increased Pay Once Permanent | Full Training Provided \n Shifts \n
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00am - 6:00pm \n
- Friday: 7:00am - 4:00pm \n Rates of Pay \n

- Ongoing support and development \n Day-to-Day Duties \n Your duties as a Sawmill Operative / Yard Operative will include: \n
- Assisting with the processing of timber through the sawmill \n
- Loading and unloading timber and materials \n
- Feeding timber into machinery safely and efficiently once trained \n
- Learning to operate a range of sawmill machinery \n
- Stacking and preparing finished timber for storage or dispatch \n
- Checking timber for quality and ensuring products meet the required standards \n
- Keeping the yard and work areas clean, tidy and organised \n
- Following all site health and safety procedures \n
- Working as part of a team to meet daily production requirements \n
- Working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions \n Essential Skills \n As a Sawmill Operative / Yard Operative, you will need: \n

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team \n
- Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual work \n
- Prepared to work in a busy industrial environment \n
