People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 ADR Tramper Driver to join our well-established client based in Wigan, Greater Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, night out allowances, ongoing work and immediate starts with a well-established transport business.

This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver, CE Driver, ADR Driver, Tramper Driver or Truck Driver.

Rates of Pay:

  • £21.00 per hour
  • £25.00 per night out

Shifts:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 06:00 start times
  • Night outs required

Day-to-Day Duties:

  • Completing Class 1 multi-drop deliveries
  • Operating and driving Category C+E vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Ensuring all goods are loaded and secured correctly
  • Adhering to all traffic laws and transport regulations
  • Communicating effectively with dispatch teams and customers
  • Reporting vehicle defects or maintenance requirements
  • Assisting with loading and unloading where required
  • Completing delivery paperwork accurately and on time

Essential Skills:

  • Valid UK Category C+E Driving Licence
  • Valid ADR Licence
  • Minimum 12 months' experience driving C+E vehicles
  • Valid Driver CPC Card
  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
  • No major endorsement codes
  • Good spoken and written English
  • Excellent punctuality and timekeeping skills
  • Good understanding of UK traffic laws and regulations
  • Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience:

  • Previous experience driving commercial vehicles
  • Previous ADR driving experience

Training Provided:

  • Driver assessment required prior to starting
  • One-day paid induction following a successful assessment
  • Ongoing support throughout the assignment
