People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our well-established client based in Aldridge and the surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity offering ongoing work, full training, and long-term progression within a specialist tanker operation.
This role would suit candidates with experience as a LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, Tanker Driver, Vacuum Tanker Driver or Truck Driver.
Shift Pattern- Monday to Friday
- 08:00am – 04:00pm planned finish
- Jobs may run over depending on workload
- £14.00 per hour starting rate
- £15.50 per hour upon completion of training
As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will receive:

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include:
- Driving company tanker vehicles to client sites safely and professionally
- Ensuring tankers are positioned safely prior to emptying toilets/waste units
- Completing all required paperwork in line with company procedures
- Emptying toilets safely and in accordance with environmental and Health & Safety regulations
- Operating tanker pumps, pipework connections, and offloading equipment safely
- Monitoring tanker operations throughout the full process and resolving issues where required
- Inputting information into supporting IT systems and equipment
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
- Maintaining accurate delivery and operational records
- Communicating effectively with customers, dispatch, and site staff
To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:
- A valid UK Category C Licence
- A valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than six penalty points for minor offences
- No IN, DR, DD or CD endorsement codes
- Reliable, professional, and punctual attitude
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Good understanding of road safety and compliance
- Minimum 12 months Class 2 driving experience preferred
- Previous tanker experience would be advantageous
- Good customer interaction and service skills
Full industry-related training provided. Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment.
