3.5 Tonne Driver - Category BE vehicles - Aldridge
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a 3.5 Tonne Driver to join our well-established client based in Aldridge.
You must have a Category BE Licence for the role.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for progression.
This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as a Van Driver, Delivery Driver or Courier Driver.
Shifts:
• Wednesday to Sunday
• 07:30 – 16:00 (flexibility required during peak periods)
Rates of Pay:
• £12.71 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:
As a 3.5 Tonne Driver, your duties will include:
• Carrying out site deliveries
• Loading and unloading boxes and packages
• Loading the vehicle for the following day's routes
• Ensuring all loads are safe and secure
• Completing vehicle inspections and reporting faults
• Operating Cagegory BE vehicles safely and efficiently
• Maintaining accurate delivery records and paperwork
• Communicating effectively with staff at delivery locations
• Adhering to all regulations while transporting goods
Essential Skills:
To be successful as a 3.5 Tonne Driver, you will need:
• Previous trailer towing experience (preferred)
• A valid UK Category BE Driving Licence held for at least two years (some points considered)
• Strong knowledge of vehicle operation and driving regulations
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to identify and report vehicle safety issues
• Good understanding of road networks and navigation tools
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and use your own initiative
Desirable Experience:
• Previous experience driving commercial vehicles and towing trailers
Training:
• Industry-specific training provided
