People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join our well-established client based in Tingley. This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity offering excellent hourly rates and genuine opportunities for career progression.

Please note: You will need a valid FLT Counterbalance licence for this position.

Shifts: Late Shift: Monday to Thursday 14:30 – 00:00 & Friday 14:30 – 20:00

Day-to-Day Duties:

As a Warehouse Operative, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Picking and packing orders
  • Loading and unloading stock in the warehouse using FLT Counterbalance
  • Carrying out stock control and regular stock checks
  • Handling heavy products
  • Receiving, checking, and booking in deliveries (goods in)
  • Preparing and labelling goods ready for dispatch
  • Loading and unloading vehicles safely
  • Moving and organising stock within the warehouse
  • Ensuring all items are stored correctly and safely
  • Following health and safety guidelines at all times
  • Using handheld scanners and other equipment where required
  • Maintaining a clean and organised working environment
Essential Skills:

To be successful as a Warehouse Operative, you will need:

  • A basic level of English (spoken and written)
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • A positive and proactive attitude
Desirable Experience:

Previous warehouse/FLT experience
