People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Bellshill. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression within a reputable logistics operation. This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver, CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.

Shifts: 4 on 4 off Day shifts – start times between 06:00 – 10:00, 12-hour shifts

Rates of Pay:

  • Days: £14.41 per hour basic
  • Nights: £16.50 per hour basic

Day to Day Duties: As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your day to day duties are:

  • Depot-to-depot trunking, trailer swaps and deliveries to shops and depots
  • Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Ensuring all loads are secured safely and correctly
  • Adhering to traffic laws, company procedures and delivery schedules

Essential Skills: The skills required to be an HGV Class 1 Driver are:

  • Valid UK Category CE (Class 1) driving licence
  • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
  • Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Good spoken and written English

Desirable Experience: Previous commercial driving experience

Training: Driver assessment required prior to start, industry related training and ongoing support.
