People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Workshop Technician to join our well-established client based in Swindon on a full-time permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression within a reputable logistics operation.
This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a Technician, Service Technician or Field Service Technician.
Shifts: Monday - Friday 07:45 - 16:00
Annual Salary: £28,000

Day-to-Day Duties:
- Diagnose, repair, service, clean, and disassemble a range of different tooling.
- Carry out fault finding and replace defective components to restore tools to full working condition.
- Work effectively as part of a small team, maintaining productivity and meeting repair turnaround targets.
- Complete job worksheets and accurately input data into workshop systems to track repairs and parts usage.
- Ensure all tools are tested and quality-checked before being returned to customers.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in line with Health and Safety regulations.
- Follow and support the development of safe systems of work and risk assessments.
- Conduct on-site visits to customers to perform repairs, servicing, installations, and basic training where required.
- Provide excellent customer service, offering technical advice and support when needed.
- Assist with stock control by identifying parts requirements and supporting inventory management.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying ways to enhance repair processes and efficiency.
