People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Van Delivery Driver to join our national client based in Swindon. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work and genuine opportunities for progression within a well-established business.

This role would suit candidates with experience as a Van Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, Courier Driver, Delivery Driver, Parcel Delivery Driver or Cat B Driver.

Shifts

  • Monday to Friday and occasional Saturdays
  • 07:45 – 17:15

Rates of Pay

  • £14.25 per hour
  • Overtime after 40 hours paid at £21.38 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

  • Completing multi-drop deliveries, typically 40–50 drops per day
  • Loading and unloading vehicles
  • Delivering parcels to clients and customers
  • Collecting parcels from local customers
  • Ensuring all loads are safe and secure during transportation
  • Completing vehicle inspections and reporting any faults or defects
  • Maintaining accurate delivery records and paperwork
  • Communicating effectively with customers and staff at delivery locations

Essential Skills

  • Previous multi-drop delivery experience
  • A valid UK Category B Driving Licence
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle operation and driving regulations
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to identify and report vehicle safety issues
  • A good understanding of road networks and navigation tools
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines and use your own initiative
  • Please note that a DBS check will be required for this role

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience driving commercial vehicles
  • Experience completing high-volume multi-drop deliveries
  • Experience using handheld scanners or delivery tracking systems

  • Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment
