People Solutions are currently recruiting for a MIG Welder to join our client based in Appleton Thorn, Warrington. This is a fantastic opportunity offering competitive pay depending on experience and the opportunity to progress your career.
This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as a Metal Worker, Fabrication Welder or Welder and are looking to develop their skills within a manufacturing environment.
Shifts:
- Must be able to work either day or late shift
- Day shift: 07:00 to 16:00 Monday to Thursday and 07:00 to 12:00 Friday
- Late shift: 16:00 to 02:30 Monday to Wednesday and 16:00 to 13:30 on Thursday
Rates of Pay:
- £16.44 per hour – Day shift
- £20.14 per hour – Late shift

Day-to-Day Duties:
- Setting up components and equipment for the welding process as per job card
- Preparing materials and setting up jigs to ensure safe and effective assembly
- Interpreting specifications and drawings accurately to ensure products are within tolerance
- MIG welding mild and stainless steel
- Maintaining housekeeping standards, including ‘clean as you go' practices
- Working with knowledge of 5S principles (advantageous but not essential)
Essential Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Positive attitude towards work, colleagues and management
- Good dexterity and strong practical skills
- Logical and methodical approach to tasks
- Computer literate and confident using IT systems within a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience in MIG Welding
Desirable Experience:
- Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment
Training:
- Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout
