People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our busy and well-established client based in Swindon. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.
This role will suit applicants looking for work as a HGV Class 2 Driver, LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Truck Driver.
Shifts:
- Monday to Friday
- Start times between 04:30 – 06:00
- Working until job finish
Rates of Pay:
- £16.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:
- Carrying out deliveries to businesses and building sites
- Operating curtain-side Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently
- Completing pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections
- Ensuring all loads are secure and compliant with safety regulations
- Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations
- Reporting vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly
- Assisting with loading and unloading when required
- Heavy lifting may be involved
Essential Skills:
- Minimum 12 months Category C driving experience
- Valid UK Category C Driving Licence
- Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than six penalty points for minor offences
- No major endorsement codes
- Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
- Good understanding of road traffic laws and regulations
Desirable Experience:
- Previous commercial driving experience
- Multi-drop delivery experience
Training Provided:
- Driver assessment required prior to starting
- Full paid induction provided on your first day
